1. Measure velour tubing to the proper size, don’t forget to subtract for the length of the clasp, cut tubing.
2. Using the Sbeady wire needle push through the velour tubing at the center, once the needle goes all the way through, insert the piece of blue wire into the end of the Sbeady needle then pull through the tubing.
3. Remove the wire needle leaving the blue wire. Cut the wire leaving approximately 2” of wire. String a #1 crimp tube onto each end and push all the way until they touch the velour tubing. Use the chain nose pliers to crush the tube flat.
4. Continue as in step 3 until all the wires are carefully set and crimped, you can follow the colors as in the photo or move them around. Be careful to get the angle of the puncture the same so that the wires will all lie flat and parallel with one another.
5. Using the flush cutter, carefully cut the wires at differing lengths making sure to leave enough of the colored wire for visibility and just enough for flattening.
6. Place the beads onto a workspace and arrange them to your preference then begin stringing the beads onto the wires making sure to put crimp tubes on before and after. Flatten the crimp tubes to place the beads where you want them. Trim any wire sticking out of the ends of the crimp tubes.
7. Slip the claw portion of the clasp onto the end of the Velour tubing and carefully close the claws into the tubing from all directions until the claws have set, repeat on the opposite side. |
