1. Separate a 3-diamond section of chain using chain nose pliers to open the connectors between links on the chain. Repeat for seven total 3-diamond sections of chain.
2. Remove the connectors from the extra diamond links and set the extra links aside.
3. Use extra connectors to connect one set of chains in this pattern:
3-diamond, 20mm ring, 3-diamond, 20mm ring,
3-diamond. Repeat for another matching set of chains.
4. Connect a 20mm ring to the end of the remaining 3-diamond chain.
5. Cut three 6" lengths of beading wire.
6. Loosen the screw on a Scrimp® finding and pass one wire end through the Scrimp®, Wire Guardian™, the last link on a long piece of chain, and back through the Scrimp®. Tighten the screw to hold the wire in place.
7. String beads onto the wire as follows: 3 bicones, beaded ring, oval, beaded ring, bicone, coil, bicone, beaded ring, oval, beaded ring, 3 bicones.
8. Loosen the screw on a Scrimp® finding and pass the wire through the Scrimp®, Wire Guardian™, 20mm solid ring on the short piece of chain, and back through the Scrimp®. Tighten the screw to hold the wire in place.
9. Repeat Steps 5-7 to make two more beaded sections to connect the chain sections as shown in the photo.
10. To wear the necklace as a badge lanyard, use the 6mm twisted jump ring to attach a swivel badge clip to one 20mm ring on a long chain section. |
