Lauren Andersen
I was born & raised in
beautiful southern California. I was blessed with having and extremely talented & crafty mom.
My father was an equally talented Civil Engineer. I have a degree in Accounting, Paralegal
Studies, & Pharmacy Technician. (I couldn’t decide what I wanted to be when I grew up!!)
But seriously, I love learning and evolving. Most of my career was spent being “serious”. Now
is the fun part of my life! I love taking a raw material, like wire, and turning it into a gorgeous
new creation. I also love to bead, macramé, and various forms of needlepoint.
What inspires you? Nature inspires me. I love the simplicity and the complexity of nature.
People also inspire me. I love to see their faces when I explain how my chainmaille is created &
they always have wonderful suggestions for new creations! And of course my family always
inspires and supports me.

What is your greatest accomplishment as a jewelry designer?
Being able to design gorgeous
chainmaille for Beadalon. Also, having my work published in Step By Step Wire Jewelry.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
The relaxation I feel when weaving chainmaille. It is
a technique that when you make a mistake, you have created a new weave!
What is your favorite beading or jewelry making technique?
Chainmaille. My favorite
Chainmaille weave pattern is the Dragonscale. I love the fluidness of it. I also love to bead.
Peyote stitch is one of my favorites.
