Embellishing Crystal Cup Chain
by Katie Hacker
Sponsored by: Beadalon®

Cup-chain links are widely used in a variety of applications, including jewelry making, clothing embellishment and home décor. In today's Beading Lesson, we'll try a new method for enhancing plain crystal cup chain with seed beads, crystal beads, and beading thread.

Crystal cup chain is basically a series of crystals that are connected by their individual cup-like settings. It makes a great foundation for this style of beadwork because you can build the stitches onto the chain.

To get started, you'll need a beading needle and a 2-yard length of beading thread, seed beads and crystals. Secure the thread end to the bracelet, then make a ladder stitch around each crystal as shown in the animated Bead Master illustrations.

Please note: Complete instructions for the Gold Line Bracelet are available on the Bead Master™ DIY Collection 01 CD/DVD or in the Gold Line Bracelet Bead Master Kit. Bead Master is a revolutionary computer-based teaching aid created with interactive flash technology makes it fun and easy to create difficult-looking stringing designs. The animated on-screen instructions feature play, pause, rewind and fast-forward controls to allow you to work at your own pace. PC requirements for CD: Windows 2000 (or later), minimum RAM of 64MB, 500MB of free space on hard drive. DVD requires a DVD player. Bead Master is an exclusive Beadalon product.
