How can I make a simple necklace to display an art bead?

Art beads are so dramatic that sometimes it's nice to highlight them on a single cord. Here are some ideas for quick and easy art bead necklaces:

Jewelry Cable: Jewelry cable provides a sturdy and simple background for eye-catching beads. It comes in a variety of diameters that work especially well for large-hole beads.
1. Center an art bead on jewelry cable.
2. Attach a Scrimp® cable end to each end.
3. Attach the clasp.

Leather cord: Go the traditional way with leather cord and adjustable knots.
1. Center an art bead on the leather cord.
2. Fold the cord into a necklace-sized loop.
3. Tie each end of the cord to the loop in an overhand knot so the necklace will be adjustable.

Velour tubing: For more texture and a thicker look, use velour tubing.
1. Center an art bead on the velour tubing.
2. Use chain nose pliers to attach a stainless steel claw end to each end of the tubing. Bead

Ready™: For a more delicate look, use a Bead Ready™ kit in satin silver or satin gold.
1. Center an art bead on the Bead Ready™ wire.
2. Attach a crimp on each side to hold the bead in place.
3. Attach the free end of the pre-assembled clasp using EZ-Crimp™ pliers.
