Fabulous Fringe Necklace
Instructions
Make the Necklace Foundation

Cut three 30 in. lengths of .013 in. diam. Beadalon 49 Strand silver plated wire.

Hold the strands together as one and string on a crimp bead and half of the clasp. Place the wire end back through the crimp bead and crimp it.

String a tanzanite bead onto one wire, then hold the other two wires together and string on another tanzanite bead.

Place the wire ends through opposite sides of a Pacific opal bead.

Working with only two wire strands, string a Pacific opal bead onto each, then pass the wire ends through opposite sides of a another Pacific opal bead. This creates the first stitch.

To make another stitch, pass each wire end through a Pacific opal bead and then pass the wire ends through opposite sides of another Pacific opal bead. Repeat this step to make 46 more stitches.

Pick up the third wire end and string on a tanzanite bead. Lay the wire diagonally across the first stitch on the necklace foundation, then pass the wire end downward through the first vertical Pacific Opal bead. Repeat this procedure to place a tanzanite bead in the center of each stitch.

After the last stitch on the necklace is complete, string a tanzanite bead onto one wire end. Hold the other two wires together and string on a tanzanite bead.

Hold the wires together and pass them through a crimp bead and half of the clasp. Place the wire end back through the crimp bead and crimp it.
Add Fabulous Fringe
- Cut 38 lengths of .015 in. diam. Beadalon 19 Strand silver plated wire that measure 2 ¼ - 3 ½ in.

To make one piece of fringe, fold the wire in half through the necklace foundation.

Hold the wire ends together and slide a crimp bead toward the fold to form a 1/8 in. loop. Crimp it.

String a 4mm indicolite bead, a Pacific opal bead and a crimp bead onto the wire end. Crimp it.

Attach longer fringe toward the center of the necklace with shorter fringe on the sides.
