Margot Potter is a woman of diverse talents and interests. She approaches everything with her signature sense of humor and copious amounts of joie de vivre because she feels that if it’s not fun, it’s simply not worth doing. Impatient, Imperfect, Irreverent and Impetuous, Margot is a design expert for the rest of us. She invites people to not only think outside of the box, but to tear it up, repurpose it into something fabulous and stand on it to reach for the stars. She’s equally comfortable at the writer’s desk, in the design studio, onstage or in front of the camera.
She and her husband have recently begun creating award winning The Impatient Crafter™ humorous how-to videos for YouTube.
Her popular The Impatient Beader book series is a best selling trilogy. She appears regularly on air at QVC as the expert for their private label marcasite jewelry line.

Favorite Beading Technique
Lately I've been obsessed with Mixed Media Jewelry Making Techniques, integrating general and paper craft products and techniques into beaded jewelry designs. I'm also creating my own beads, findings and components from a variety of materials
What inspires you to make jewelry
I am inspired by everything around me and you never know what might trigger a new design idea in my brain. From DNA strands to vintage magazine ads to architecture to Fine Art, I've always got my design eyes open! The more you start to 'see' the world around you, the more inspired you become.
When not making jewelry...
I'm doing a variety of other crafts or working on mixed media designs, writing, promoting my brand, filming our The Impatient Crafter Videos, appearing on QVC and when I'm not working I'm taking care of my family, our 2 pot bellied pigs, 15 chickens and slowly renovating our 128-year old home. I also thoroughly enjoy cooking, sleeping and a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc on occasion.
