1. Insert Beadalon 7 Strand satin silver wire into the eye end of the EZ-Crimp clasp and squeeze the EZ-Crimp with the mighty crimper's outer jaw. Make sure to crimp entire length of the EZ-Crimp.
2. String on beads as shown:
22 Toho seed beads, 1 barbell bead, 1 cat eye bead and 1 barbell bead.
Repeat pattern 4 times.
3. Attach the other end of the EZ-Crimp clasp using the same procedure used in step 1.
4. Insert a 5 in. piece of 20 gauge red ColourCraft wire into each of the remaining 5 Cat eye beads, leaving approximately 1 in. sticking out of the bead. Wrap this excess wire along the curve of the bead and around the other end of the wire. Once all 5 have been done, twist all 5 wires together to form a flower. Use two of the wires to form a bail and attach it to the beaded strand.
5. Use another piece of 20 gauge red ColourCraft wire strung with the faceted red bicone bead. This will be the center of the flower. Wrap the end wires around the mass of wires from step 3. Secure by twisting the ends. |
