Silk Pendant Necklace
Instructions
- Cut a 10 in. length of stringing wire and feed the wire through one Scrimp then onto a wire guardian. Attach the circle part of toggle clasp and thread wire back through the Scrimp. Tighten Scrimp screw.
- String beads as follows:
1 camel seed bead + 1 white bicone bead + 1 camel seed bead + 1 barbell spacer
- Start a new section, stringing beads as follows:
1 camel seed bead + 1 white bicone bead + 1 camel seed bead + 1 brown seed bead + 1 light peach bicone bead + 1 brown seed bead + 1 silk helix bead + 1 brown seed bead + 1 light peach bicone bead + 1 brown seed bead + 1 camel seed bead + 1 white bicone bead + 1 camel seed bead + 1 barbell spacer
Repeat pattern twice.
Add a Scrimp, wire guardian and pass through the top ring of filigree connector. Let the illustration be your guide for the perfect look. You have now completed one side of the inner strand of the necklace.
- Create the other side of necklace following the same steps in reverse. Attach it to the bar part of the toggle clasp. You have now completed the inner strand of the necklace.
- Starting from the circle part of the toggle clasp and working toward the filigree connector, repeat the above steps to begin beading the outer strand of the necklace. Once you have the Scrimp secured, string the beads as follows:
1 light peach bicone + 1 brown seed bead + 1 camel seed bead + 1 white bicone bead + 1 camel seed bead + 1 barbell spacer
String the next section repeating steps 3 through 5. Once you have finished this pattern, both strands of the necklace will be complete.
- Begin work on the beaded pendant section. String beads onto a ball star head pin in the following pattern:
1 brown seed bead + 1 silk helix bead + 1 brown seed bead + 1 light peach bicone bead + 1 camel seed bead
Make a simple loop on top of beads and trim excess wire. This completes the first half of the dangle.
Cut off the head of the second ball star head pin and make a simple loop on one side of it. String a barbell spacer and make another simple loop. Open one of the loops and attach to the dangle created at the beginning of this step; close gently. Open the top loop and attach it to the center ring of the filigree connector.
- Cut a 10 inch piece of stringing wire and feed the wire through a Scrimp and then onto a wire guardian. Attach to the left ring of the filigree connector and thread the wire back through the Scrimp. Tighten Scrimp screw.
String beads as follows:
1 camel seed bead + 1 white bicone bead + 1 camel seed bead + 1 barbell spacer + 1 brown seed bead + light peach bicone bead + 1 brown seed bead + barbell spacer + 1 camel seed bead + white bicone + 1 camel seed bead + 1 barbell spacer + 1 camel seed bead + 1 white bicone bead + 1 brown seed bead + 1 light peach bicone bead + 1 silk helix bead
This completes one half of the outer strand of the pendant. Reverse the pattern above to create the other half of the outer strand. Attach to the remaining empty ring of the filigree connector.
- Using your remaining stringing wire, feed the wire through a Scrimp and then onto a wire guardian. Attach to the center ring of the filigree connector, side by side with the dangle created in step 6. Thread wire back through the Scrimp. Tighten Scrimp screw.
String beads as follows:
1 white bicone bead + 1 camel seed bead + 1 barbell spacer + 1 brown seed bead + 1 light peach bicone bead + 1 brown seed bead + 1 barbell spacer + 1 camel seed bead + 1 white bicone bead + 1 brown seed bead + 1 light peach bicone bead + 1 brown seed bead + 1 silk helix bead.
This creates the first half of the inner strand of the pendant. Reverse the pattern above to create a symmetrical pattern, then attach using a Scrimp and wire guardian to the center ring of the filigree connector to give a clean and professional look.
