Notes:
Get ready for compliments when you wear this eye-catching necklace! Create the stitched pendant first, and then use the Spin-N-Bead™ Jr. to make multiple seed bead strands. It's easier than it looks! |
1. Pass the Supplemax through a blue-gray Cube Bead and a fuchsia Seed Bead. Hold it against the edge of the shell loop next to the stringing hole, leaving a short Supplemax tail.
2. Pass the Supplemax back through the Cube Bead. Wrap it around the shell loop and pass it up through both beads and back down through the Cube Bead again. Tie a knot at the base of the Cube Bead. Add a drop of Bead Stringing Glue to the knot and let it dry.
3. Pass the Supplemax through a multi-brown Cube Bead and a silver Seed Bead and back through the Cube Bead. Wrap it around the shell loop and pass it up through both beads and back down through the Cube Bead again.
4. Repeat Step 3 twenty-one more times, alternating colors as shown. Adjust if necessary to ensure that there is room for one Cube Bead over the stringing hole in the shell loop.
5. After the last stitch, tie the Supplemax in a knot at the base of the Cube Bead. Add a drop of Bead Stringing Glue to the knot and let it dry, then cut off any extra Supplemax.
6. Use Pinch Bail Pliers to attach a Pinch Bail to a crystal bead. Cut a 3" piece of German-Style Wire and make a wrapped loop on one end to attach the Pinch Bail loop.
7. Pass the wire through a hole on the shell loop and a multi-brown Cube Bead. Make a large wrapped loop.
8. Pour all of the Seed Beads into the Spin-N-Bead™ Jr. and mix the colors together. Attach the Curved Big Eye Needle to the Wildfire and make five 16" strands. (see Spin-N-Bead™ instructions)
9. Cut a 3" piece of German-Style Wire and make a small wrapped loop on one end. Tie one end of the beaded strands to the loop. Add a drop of Bead Stringing Glue to the knot and let it dry.
10. Pass the wire through the wide end of a Beading Cone so the knotted ends and wrapped loop are nestled inside. Make a wrapped loop outside the narrow end of the cone to attach the Lobster Clasp.
11. Pass the beaded strands through the wrapped loop on the pendant. Cut another 3" piece of wire, make a wrapped loop and attach the beaded strands to it. Attach a Beading Cone and make a large wrapped loop outside the narrow end of the cone.
12. Fasten the Lobster Clasp to the end loop to close the necklace. |
