According to The Specialty Steel Industry of North America (SSINA) and the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF), newly produced stainless steel typically contains at least 60% recycled content and can be 100% recycled.

Beadalon is the only flex wire company in the industry that actually manufacturers its own wire and micro cable products in-house. Since our start in 1976, we have sent all scrap stainless steel from our USA manufacturing plant out for recycling, typically into new Stainless Steel products.

When you make a design using Beadalon, you can take comfort in knowing that stainless steel is one of the world’s most recycled materials (more than paper or glass) and that we have contributed in our small way to this success story.

One recent change to our Beadalon wire shipping packaging has saved over 100 trees since inception not to mention reduced the weight and decreased fuel requirements for our shipments to our distributors/retailers.

Since we now produce the majority of our own plastic spools, we have eliminated the need for 1,000’s of shipping cartons and reduced the number of truckloads and miles driven to our facility. The production process we use for our plastic spools essentially produces zero plastic scrap!

Our wire production facility’s main production floor requires a small amount of heat in the winter and is not air conditioned in the summer. (Yes, it gets hot in the summer!)

If recycling is available in your area, the spools/clips that Beadalon wire is packaged on is also recyclable as a #6 polystyrene plastic.

If you would like us to recycle any Beadalon stainless steel wire products or the spools they come on, please send them to:
